The new Piper Field in August 2013.

Founded in May 2012, the Marblehead All-Sports Foundation has a mission to provide on-going financial support for the construction and maintenance of the community’s sports and athletic facilities. Members of the Foundation include all the town’s youth sports programs, several adult sports groups, and a broad range of community leaders. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Our Goal

There is a growing need for new sources of funding to provide upgrades and maintenance to the town’s athletic facilities. It has become increasingly clear public dollars will not be available to support the growing number of required improvements to fields and facilities. The goal of the organization is to provide privately raised funds for these much-needed improvements.

The Future

The Marblehead All-Sports Foundation is a designed to be a long term, sustainable organization that will regularly provide funding for the athletic facilities in the Town of Marblehead. The focus will be on projects large and small. Smaller projects and annual maintenance will be funded directly out of a pool of funds raised through annual membership gifts. As major projects are identified, specific capital campaigns will be initiated to raise the funding for that specific need. To date, the organization has identified the following list of projects:
